Markdownify is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that converts various file types and web content to Markdown format. It supports PDFs, images, audio (with transcription), DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, YouTube transcripts, Bing search results, and general web pages. Optionally, set the MD_SHARE_DIR environment variable to restrict the directory from which Markdown files can be retrieved.
